This Residence started as a duplex in north downtown Charlottesville Virginia. It was opened and turned into a single family house by removing most of the interior walls on the first floor and creating a large kitchen / dining / living area. Designed by Formwork LLC This project included a few experimental trim details and unorthodoxed features that made for a very stimulating renovation. Some of the interesting features of this project are the trimless flush closet doors in the bedroom hall and the bank of kitchen cabinets with a walk in pantry behind and open light filled transom above.
